Arteries

Takes blood away from heart.

  • Pulmonary Artery takes blood away from heart to lungs.
  • Possesses valves.

Veins

Takes blood from body to the heart

  • Pulmonary Vein takes blood from the lungs to the heart
  • Doesn’t possess valves.

Blood vessels are closely attached to the Lymphatic System
