Secularism is the anti of Communalism. Our country is a secular state.
- There is no official religion for the Indian state
- Unlike Pakistan (Islam), Sri Lanka (Buddhism), England (Christianity)
- The constitution permits anyone and everyone to practice, proclaim and propagate any religion, or not to follow any
- The constitution does not permit any discrimination on the basis of religion.
- The constitution makes sure to establish equality among the religious groups by allowing the state to intervene.
