What is federalism?
Federalism is a system of government in which the power is divided in two or more tiers. Usually there is a central authority and then smaller constituent units are present. The smaller units have their own political autonomy and are not answerable to the central government
Unitary Government
There is only one level of government which controls the whole country, if there are sub-units, they do not possess political autonomy. For example: Sri-Lanka
